SECURING THE FUTURE OF TRAVEL

Travel is a wonderful thing that celebrates the best that our planet has to offer. At the same time, it accounts for a significant percentage of global carbon emissions and if not managed well it can have a negative impact on communities and environments. 

At Sandalwood Escapes, we believe we have a responsibility to promote sustainable travel, which helps benefit local people and helps protect the beautiful environments that we send our customers to.

We have partnered with The Travel Foundation, an independent charity that works in partnership with leading tourism organisations to improve the impacts of tourism in destinations, bringing greater benefits for local communities, the environment, and tourists

They believe that if tourism is done right, destinations won’t just survive, they’ll thrive! Their work creates secure livelihoods and better management of the environment through tourism, and to date, they have run projects in over 25 countries a leading charity that works in partnership with businesses and governments so that tourism brings greater benefits for people and the environment.

In addition to this, we are thrilled to have also partnered with Trees4Travel, which allows both ourselves and our customers the ability to offset their carbon footprint by planting trees.                                                        

Trees4Travel's vision is a travelling future where we continue to explore and experience the planet but with a slower, more thoughtful approach, whilst simultaneously planting trees, restoring ecosystems and maintaining forests to remove CO2 from the air.
